Why I built GRF, and what one year can teach you.

A year ago, I left the company where I had spent 25 years. I came back to my hometown after ten years in Belgrade.

No drama. No regrets. Just a well-considered, quiet and clear decision that it was time.

Six months later, GRF was born. And today, looking back at twelve months of building from zero, I can say something I wasn't sure I would be able to say this soon:

This is it. For real.

Not the staged kind of happiness you post on LinkedIn and Instagram. The real kind. The kind that comes from working with people you chose yourself, both as clients and as colleagues. From working on problems that genuinely interest you, at a pace only you decide.

That is what GRF gave back to me.

I have spent more than 30 years in marketing. I loved this industry long before I learned to put up with it. Somewhere along the way, creativity got buried under layers of approvals, shrinking budgets and that particular kind of fatigue that comes from pretending the corporate way is simply how the world works.

It doesn't have to be that way.

GRF is built on one simple belief: that growth and fun are not opposites. That the best work happens when people genuinely enjoy the process. That AI should give us back time, not so we can produce more, but so we can think better, play bolder and stay curious longer.

“Perspective is the one thing no algorithm can produce.”

The giraffe is our mascot because it sees further than most. Not for drama, but because perspective is the one thing no algorithm can produce.

Six months in, we are small, intentional and growing faster than I expected. The clients we chose to work with get it. The team we are building gets it. And every morning when I open my laptop, I feel something I hadn't felt at a desk in years:

I want to be here.

Welcome to GRF. A year in the making. Six months old. And today, finally, with an address.
